The Team

The Agentic team is a new team at the center shifting to agentic process strategy. It owns the construction plan-review agents and the evaluation tools that measure their quality. The team builds agents on top of Firmus’s document-intelligence building blocks and tool-calling framework, working closely with our Research and Platform teams. This is a high-visibility role with real organizational investment behind it – you will be building the team and the product from its early days.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 3–5 engineers building Firmus’s construction plan-review agents – day-to-day execution, hiring, growth, performance, and culture.
• Build agents hands-on using Firmus’s tool-calling framework, turning document-intelligence capabilities into reliable plan-review checks.
• Own agent quality – design and build evaluation tools and frameworks for measuring agent performance on a non-deterministic product.
• Own delivery – translate product priorities into sprint execution, remove blockers, and keep the team shipping fast.
• Shape the product – learn customers’ plan-review needs and turn them into agent capabilities, in close partnership with product, research, and customer-facing teams.
• Be a key voice in Firmus’s engineering leadership as we scale the agentic organization.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading development teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience building production systems.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based products or AI agents in production – MUST.
• Experience evaluating and improving the quality of non-deterministic / generative systems.
• Broad product vision – ability to understand customer needs and translate them into agent capabilities.
• Excellent execution in fast-moving, ambiguous environments – you bring clarity and protect the team’s focus.
• Track record of growing engineers – from seniors who need challenge to juniors who need structure.
